Pupil Premium
Additional funding is now provided by the government for pupils eligible for Free School Meals as well as those who have parents in the armed forces or are children in care. This funding is known as pupil premium.
In 2023/24 the level of premium is £1,455 per pupil known to be eligible for Free School Meals or for those who have received Free School Meals in the last 6 years (Ever 6). Children in care and adopted children receive £2,530 and children whose parents served or are serving in the Armed Forces receive £330.
For the academic year 2022/23 the level of premium was £1385 per pupil known to be eligible for Free School Meals or for those who have received Free School Meals in the last 6 years (Ever 6). Children in care and adopted children receive £2410 and children whose parents served or are serving in the Armed Forces receive £320.

Calstock Primary School has received £15,235 pupil premium funding for 2022/23.

As of the beginning of the acadamic year 2023 it is the schools statatory right to publish our pupil premium straegy statetment for 2023 to 2024.

This statement details our school’s use of pupil premium funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils.

It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that last year’s spending of pupil premium had within our school.                                                                                                            
The Senior Leadership Team and Federation Governing Body are responsible for monitoring data, funding allocation and the impact of outcomes.
Our teaching and support staff structure enables us to be flexible in providing appropriate support.
